Soap is the best way to get rid of hand germs

Among hygiene products used to wash hands, soap has the best decontamination effect, according to a survey.

According to a research group that researched the effectiveness of removing germs of different types of hand hygiene products on the market from March this year to August 23, the results showed that the results are high in order of soap (solid and liquid), hand sanitizer, and wet tissue.

Based on the World Health Organization hand hygiene guidelines, the survey was conducted by comparing the average reduction rate of bacteria when washing hands with soap, hand sanitizers, and wet tissue by using only running water.

According to the survey, the average reduction rate of bacteria was the highest with 96 percent of soap. The survey was followed by 95 percent hand sanitizer, 91 percent water tissue for hospitality businesses, 30 seconds for running water, 91 percent for flowing water, 15 seconds for flowing water and 87 percent for running water.

It is preferable to wash your hands with soap or hand sanitizer for more than 30 seconds, and to wash your hands with running water or wet tissue even if there are no hand hygiene products.

Also, it is recommended to be familiar with the World Health Organization hand hygiene guidelines as the removal effects of germs vary greatly depending on how you wash your hands.

Meanwhile, most infectious diseases are reported to be infected when contact with eyes, nose and mouth is made with bacteria-contaminated hands, and when washing hands properly, they are said to have a 70 percent preventive effect against infectious diseases.
